Warranty Information
Warranty for Zetifi Products & Services (Australia Only)
- The Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (including the Australian Consumer Law)—as well as other laws in Australia—guarantee certain conditions, warranties, and undertakings, and give you additional legal rights in relation to the quality and fitness for purpose of Zetifi products sold in Australia.
- Our products and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with a service, you are entitled to:
i. cancel your service contract with us; and
ii. receive a refund for the unused portion of the service, or compensation for its reduced value. - You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with products. If a failure with the product or service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the issue rectified within a reasonable time. If we fail to do so, you may:
– obtain a refund for the product;
– cancel the service contract and receive a refund for any unused portion; and
– seek compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from the failure.
What constitutes a “major failure” is defined under the Australian Consumer Law. - Nothing in this Zetifi Product Warranty (“Warranty”) purports to modify or exclude the conditions, warranties, undertakings, or other legal rights conferred by the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any other applicable Australian law. This Warranty provides additional protection for your Zetifi product and outlines a preferred, streamlined process for resolving warranty claims—subject to the exclusions, terms, and conditions set out below.
- In addition to this Warranty, eligible Zetifi products are also covered by the Zetifi 90-Day Proven Performance Guarantee. This guarantee offers a money-back refund if you are not satisfied with your product’s performance within 90 days of purchase.
The 90-Day Proven Performance Guarantee:
– has separate eligibility criteria, exclusions, and claim procedures from this Warranty;
– requires you to contact Zetifi first to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) before returning the product through your original point of purchase.

PART 1: APPLICATION & WARRANTY PERIOD
- Zetifi Pty Ltd (ACN 621 129 244) trading as Zetifi (“Zetifi”) warrants that your Zetifi product is of acceptable quality and does not have a latent defect.
- For the purpose of this Warranty, a “Zetifi product” is a product which:
i. was manufactured by or on behalf of Zetifi; and
ii. bears a trade mark owned or used by Zetifi (generally “Zetifi”); and
iii. was sold by an authorised reseller or distributor of Zetifi; and
iv. was purchased in Australia,
but does not include any hardware or software which is packaged or sold with a Zetifi product unless that item is itself a Zetifi product, is incorporated into the Zetifi product, or—in the case of software—is preloaded onto the Zetifi product at the time of sale. - For the purpose of this Warranty, a “Zetifi service” is a service provided by Zetifi to a customer that is subject to a service agreement pursuant to Zetifi’s standard terms of service (the “Standard Form Terms and Conditions”).
- Warranty Period: The period during which this Warranty is in effect depends on the Zetifi product or service to which it relates. In all cases, the commencement date is:
– the actual day of purchase of the product, as reflected on the authorised reseller’s or distributor’s invoice or receipt provided to you; or
– the date on which the service agreement commenced.
The specific duration of coverage for each Zetifi product or service is identified below. - For Zetifi products which are purchased-to-own (with title passing to the customer), the standard Warranty Period is 2 years. For eligible Zetifi products, the Warranty Period is 5 years.
- For Zetifi services provided pursuant to a service agreement, the Warranty Period is the duration of the service agreement, in accordance with its terms.
PART 2: WARRANTY CLAIM
- If you believe that your Zetifi product or service is not of acceptable quality, has a latent defect, or otherwise fails to comply with the conditions, warranties, undertakings, service agreement terms, or legal rights granted to you under Australian law (e.g., it is faulty, does not work at all, or does not work properly), you may make a claim under this Warranty by notifying Zetifi within 10 Business Days of becoming aware of the defect or non-compliance, and during the Warranty Period.
- Warranty service will only be provided in the country where the Zetifi product was originally purchased.
- If you purchased the product in Australia and wish to make a claim under this Warranty, please contact 1300 093 711 or email support@zetifi.com.
- You must make a valid claim during the Warranty Period to receive the benefit of this Warranty. This Warranty does not cover defects not notified to Zetifi within the Warranty Period, although you may retain statutory rights beyond this period.
- If Zetifi or its agent determines your claim is valid (in accordance with this Warranty):
i. For non-major failures: Zetifi may, at its discretion and at no cost to you, repair the product, pay for the cost of repair, replace it with the same or a similar product, or refund the cost of a replacement—whichever is reasonable in the circumstances and consistent with Zetifi’s statutory obligations. Repairs may use refurbished parts of equal or greater functionality.
ii. For major failures or failures of substantial character: You may reject the product, require compensation for any reduction in value below the purchase price, cancel the relevant service agreement (if applicable), and request a refund for the unused portion or compensation for reduced value. - The standard Zetifi Warranty Periods are set out in Clause 4. Each claim is assessed on its merits, and statutory rights may apply beyond the Warranty Period. If Zetifi provides a replacement or refund, you immediately transfer ownership of the original product or part to Zetifi and must either destroy it or return it at Zetifi’s expense, as directed. If Zetifi repairs the product, you transfer ownership of any replaced parts to Zetifi. This resolution does not affect any other statutory rights you may have, including the right to monetary compensation.
- If your claim is determined to be invalid, Zetifi may charge you for labour, parts, or transport costs incurred in assessing the claim.
- For authorised replacements, the replacement product is covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or three months, whichever is greater. Statutory rights may also apply to replacement products.
- To make a claim, the Zetifi product must be sent to the nearest authorised Zetifi reseller or distributor for assessment. Zetifi will bear transport costs if the claim is valid. Where possible, return the product in its original packaging or equivalent protective packaging. Zetifi is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate or unsuitable packaging during transit.
- If it is unreasonable for you to deliver the product to an authorised reseller or distributor, Zetifi will liaise with you to arrange an appropriate inspection and, if necessary, repair process.
PART 3: WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
- This section identifies what is not covered by this Warranty. For clarity, any warranties or conditions not guaranteed under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (including the Australian Consumer Law) or the Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010, and not expressly included herein as additional warranties, are excluded.
- Unless stated otherwise, this Warranty does not cover loss or damage caused by:
– fire, water (liquid spillage or ingress), theft, vermin, or insect infestation.
Note: The water exclusion does not apply to Zetifi products with a valid water-resistant rating or certification. - This Warranty does not cover damage caused by:
i. misuse or abusive use (including physical abuse);
ii. incorrect operation, installation, or failure to follow instructions provided with the product—including using a water-resistant product contrary to its certified rating;
iii. improper or neglected maintenance;
iv. incorrect voltage or unauthorised electrical connections;
v. external events beyond Zetifi’s control (e.g., power surges, lightning, storms, acts of God, terrorism, vermin);
vi. exposure to excessive heat, moisture, dampness, or corrosive environments;
vii. use of non-authorised, non-standard, defective, or incompatible parts or accessories;
viii. password management issues or computer viruses;
ix. repairs, modifications, or servicing performed by anyone other than authorised Zetifi personnel; or
x. breach of any applicable Zetifi service agreement. - This Warranty does not apply to Zetifi products purchased at auction.
- If you are using a rented or leased Zetifi product and believe a warranty claim may arise, you must refer the matter to the rental or leasing company immediately—they will manage the claim.
- This Warranty does not cover service costs for replacing or maintaining consumable parts that fail due to normal wear and tear.
- This Warranty does not apply to products that, at the time of claim, lack the original manufacturer-applied serial number in its intact, unaltered form (e.g., removed, defaced, rubbed off, or modified).
- This Warranty does not cover loss of data, regardless of cause. You are solely responsible for backing up and protecting your data.
- This Warranty does not cover defects not reported to Zetifi within the Warranty Period, though statutory rights may still apply.
Zetifi 5-Year Warranty
Effective for eligible Smart Antenna products sold on or after 24 September 2025
1. Coverage
i. Covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 5 years from the date of original retail purchase.
2. Remedies
i. Repair or replace with new or equivalent-to-new parts, at Zetifi’s option.
ii. If repair or replacement is not practical, a refund of the purchase price may be offered.
3. What Is Not Covered
i. Accidental damage or external causes (e.g., collision, impact, storm, lightning, power surge, salt or chemical exposure).
ii. Misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation/maintenance, or operation outside stated specifications.
iii. Alterations or unauthorised repairs.
iv. Cosmetic wear that does not affect function.
v. Third-party products and accessories (e.g., radios, boosters)—these are covered by their own warranties.
vi. Consumables.
4. Who Is Covered
i. The original purchaser. Transferable with proof of original purchase.
5. How to Make a Claim
i. Contact Zetifi Support with:
– proof of purchase,
– product serial number,
– photos of the issue and installation, and
– a description of the fault.
ii. Zetifi will issue an RMA and return instructions. Do not return goods without an RMA.
6. Costs
i. You are responsible for shipping the product to Zetifi, unless required otherwise by law.
ii. Zetifi covers return shipping for approved warranty claims.
7. Registration
i. Registration is optional and not required for warranty service. Registered products may receive faster handling or advance replacement where available.
8. Australian Consumer Law
i. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

10. Notes
i. Keep your receipt and record the serial number.
